To be honest, that is not necessary. The Koran has a reinterpretation of the New Testament in its text, and Islamic principles are not subscribed in traditional Christianity. However, there is--for the sake of understanding--the opportunity to learn by reading both the Koran and the New Testament.

As a Christian, I find the Quran difficult to read. I've read parts of it, but have yet to read it entirely.

i do no longer decide for to generalize....even though it is authentic, from my adventure, that maximum Muslims understand the Quran greater efficient than maximum Christians understand the Bible. some Muslims understand the Bible greater efficient than some Christians. for the period of Ramadan Muslims are meant to verify the entire Quran. fairly some Muslims of each age, male and lady, memorize the entire Quran and could recite it (in Arabic).

A man told me that the Quan was written 600 Years after the Bible was Written. I really don't know myself.
I would Rather Read the Bible.

I read part of the Qu'ran. Enough to know that it wasn't something that I wanted to invest more time with.
