Wow, that's a long time! To answer your question, I don't think people understand how much work a long term relationship can be and give up quickly when things are no longer easy. Maybe instead of asking why they aren't able to do it, you could tell us how you and your love have done it so long. It truly is an impressive thing in this day and age.

My advice is to see a therapist about this. It shows that you don't want to hurt the person you are with, but you definately can't stop feeling these feelings for your ex.

For the time being, I would advise you to try to fantasize about this. Try to map everything out in your head in great detail about what would happen in every aspect. Would it really work the way you want?

It sounds like your marriage might not be satisfying. A therapist might help with this too. The husband is just not giving you the attention you want or giving you what exactly you need.

Best of luck!

God bless you! That is amazing to me. You two are doing something right. You must respect each other tremendously, and I know you must have gone through many trials and tribulations, yet have come out unscathed. I suspect communication was a big contributor toward such a successful marriage. So many people never talk things out, and they build up that frustration and end up divorce. Congratulations! May you be blessed with 30 more years of togetherness!

thank you for saying that! Congradulations. There have been so many negative answers on here about Americans. Are you from USA? Do you sleep around with every man you see?
Are you in a loving relationship with a man and he doesn't beat you?
