I would think that would be a question for your vet. Clearly, if the dog gets medication, it sees one, so call them. Getting that kind of advise on here is not a good idea.

You did not mention what she is incapable of doing at this age.
My old dog is also on metacam and suffers from arthritis, blindness and loss of hearing.
Has your vetrinarian made any suggestions? Definately ask a vetrinarian.
If she is able to walk, you should take her out for a few mins a day for a walk to get her heart working and that circulatory system pumping again
Even goes for dogs, if you don't use it, you'll lose it.

First dogs do NOT have heart attacks - my vet and I were talking about this the other day and how people have this misconception.
They may have congestive heart failure or other cardiac problems that result in impaired heart function and failure.
They may have blood vessel burst in the brain - a stroke.
You need to take her to a vet and have the exact diagnosis made and explained.
Asking online when what you need is an expert medical opinion about treatment protoccol is irresponsible and silly

if shes really really old and in pain from arthiritis.. the best thing might be to put her down
but i know thats hard so i think you should stay by her side whenever you can and she just needs to be around her family like old people do

Who diagnosed this? If this was diagnose by your vet then ask your vet these kind of questions.
