I've fought my weight for years. I'll lose a lot or a little and then once I break my diet I start gaining again. It is very frustrating. One of the best programs to help me was Weight Watchers, but if you don't have a good speaker that interacts with you, it also will fail. In our group we shared a lot and had lots of laughs and stories to tell. We traded ideas and all that. Plus you have to weigh in everyweek and you work to see the progress.
I also feel that if you take medicine, some types will tell you that you may gain weight. My suggestion is to go out first and buy healthy food. Stay away from cookies, ice cream, pizzas, bread and that. Eat more protein but be sure to eat fruits for fiber. Stay away from starch foods. For snacks eat fat free pretzels, fruit, drink diet sodas or a sugar substitute in your drinks. Try to drink 32 to 60 ozs of water a day.
Try to walk or exercise 3- 4 times a week if you can. Just stay with it. Sit down write a plan of food for the whole day and try to stay with it. One day a week, eat a regular meal, whatever you want within normal portions and a desert. Then stop. The next day get back on your diet.
It works for some at least for a while, but if you lose ten pounds and feel you clothes getting looser, then it will inspire you to go on.
Another diet movie stars use is to eat anything you want but only eat 3 bites. My sister lost a lot of weight by eating 1/2 what was on her plate and did not go back for seconds and had a small snack between meals.
Lots of things to try. Good luck.

You have to set your mind to do it, be very determined. This is the reason diets do not workand why people who lose weight and maintain their weight do not do diets but eat healthy food-vegetables,fruit,lean meat-baked not fried, skim milk, diet colas vs sugary(very bad)soft drinks and drink 7-8 glasses of water. Reduce portions-instead of a large plate use a dessert plate--instead of 3large meals 6 small meals a day. Control has to come from you-if need set alarm 15 minutes and when the alarm goes off STOP eating dinner can set 20min and chew the food do not just wolfe down for takes approx 5min for brain to register body getting food. When you feel full STOP take plate and dump food right away---Chew Sugarless Gum,chew on ICE,Drink Water-will make stomach full-eating smaller portions will eventually shrink stomach where it will take less food than now to get full.If need be when you get the urge to eat jump rope or jog in place until the urge passes if not drink water jog, jump rope again---jumping rope excellent aerobic exerise to burn calories. Or walk around the block-get away from the food altogether--when you start thinking of food mentally count until food urge passes. If you are 18 or above try a Hypnotist who specializes in this-can find yellow pagesome people get results with hypnotism when tried all esle and failed. Good Luck

my best advise is to rid your house of anything but healthy food. If you can't due to other family members, then I don't know what to say. I eat like this too, out of habit, for comfort, when I'm bored, or just because it tastes good. It's hard to stop a habit like that. But, I've been told that if you do a thing for 6 weeks it becomes habit. If you can do it for 6 weeks it will be easier. I wish I could take my own advise. I've also heard that keeping a "health" journal is a good way to stay conscious of what you are eating. Also excorsize will help you lose weight and deal with stress. Good luck, wish me luck too.

Try keeping a log of what you eat and the keep track of the Fat grams and the Carb grams.
Drink water before eating.
Keep active.
Limit T.V. to 3 hours a week.
If you stumble, get rid of your stumbling block and do not bring it back into the house. Make yourself earn the stumbling block and then travel to get your reward and never let it back into the house again.
Ask friends and family to help keep you active.
The only one standing in your way is yourself.
Good Luck,
Bird Dog

The problem is that the food companies want you to overeat so they can become richer. Salt causes people to overeat. Read this article to see what you are dealing with and what can cause you to want to eat like there is no tomorrow.

Keep your mind occupied at all times, don't keep snack products around the house, buy some fresh fruit and veggies, whenever you feel hungry drink a glass of water. If you still feel Hungary after this eat some of the fruit and veggies.
Best of luck to you,
Lilth

Find some other activity to replace the energy you would be putting into overeating. Maybe go for a walk or meet up with some friends.

starve urself for a day to shrink ur stomach and then after that, eat healthy foods slowly so ur stomach has a chance to digest and ur smaller stomach will result in u being fuller sooner
drink lots of water too, it gives u a false sense of being full

You need to live with someone who is in control of the kitchen and keeps you out!
