Please dont say that personality is all that matters..to some women, they say this and yet the are more focused toward a man with designer clothes on and driving a BMW where as the other man is wearing a t-shirt driving a honda that has a great personality. most of the time, people that owns so much nice stuff dont have much money saved up, and most of the time the men who dont have flashy clothes and cars have a huge bank account..

They like the prestige of being with someone who can have whatever money can buy. Most of them get bought too.
It is a feeling that they are better than the rest of the people who work hard and don't get lots of money.
They want to be pampered and spoiled and most men with money will do that for their gf...
IT is a status symbol, even tho it is not their money. They can lend their bf car and drive around and show off, It is very shallow but it makes them feel like everyone envies them.This makes them feel like they are important....... But guess what, when they get dumped for someone prettier and younger, they just turn back into the ordinary Jane once again until the next guy comes along..
They keep hoping that they will strike it rich with one of the guys....
and get to ride the top of the heap.....

I would rather have the man in jeans and a tshirt driving a Honda anyday. I am not materialistic. Dont get me wrong money is nice but it truly doesn't buy hapiness. I would rather be poor and happy than rich and miserable.However there are a lot of gold digging women and men out there.

Smart girls pick the guys with maturity / power / money / security / social position etc. etc..
Why not live a life of ease, security and low stress without having to work ?
It is as easy to love a rich man as it is a poor man, and a lot better lifestyle...

Security. women don't want to live barely scraping by. Or That they HAVE to work to make ends meet. If they do hook-up with a regular joe schmoe,,, he better have some deeep mojo.
Think about it would you rather buy some clothes at Macys or Dollar General? Would you rather eat at a restaurant like Bennigans or TGIF, or take your girl straight to the dollar menu at McDonalds or Wendy's?

tru tru i dont like people with alot of things... on the second thought i dont know anyone with alot of things but it maybe that they had nothing in life and want to marry someone that has alot of things so they can get everything they always wanted or maybe they are just goldiggers a person with alot of money sometimes may not pay so much attention to you thats what i think but you should go ask one of those people the truth and try to understand why

It is all a matter of what is important each person.

Who wouldn't love a rich man? They can give you all of the luxuries in life. I, however, prefer the poor guys. There isn't as much ego to deal with.

Some are shallow. They really don't care for the person but just their wallet. Those who get in with rich guys/girls are not happy people.
