Maybe I'm not understanding the question. The answer depends on what you want from the ex. For my answer, I'm going to assume that you want to be friends with the ex despite his romantic interest in you.
Hanging out with your ex is fine, dating your ex without leaving your boyfriend is asking for trouble. Ask your boyfriend if he is cool with you hanging out with the ex. If possible, you, boyfriend and ex should go hang out together.

It depends on how the relationship was with your ex and why you broke up and if things are better. Tell your boyfriend the truth it will hurt him now but it will be better in the long run for you both.

Don't hang out with your ex...
...at least not alone. In a group WITH your boyfriend. Since he told you he misses you and such it is possible he'll make a move on you... Hence ruining your relationship with your boyfriend.

The question you have to answer is Who finished with who?
If he finished with you? Why do you want to go back to someone who dumped you? Forget about him stay with the one your with. If he finished with you, more than likely it was for another girl. I bet that now he has finished with her or he has been dumped by her, he has come back to you.
If you finished with him, then why on earth did you finish with him? There must have been a reason? What has changed since then, he won't have changed, so why pack up your new man for the old one.
You have moved on, so tell him.

Your last statement is either/or. Either you don't go because you love your boyfriend, or you don't go because you don't want to hurt your boyfriend. Sounds like it's the latter. In which case, you need to be honest with yourself and do what makes you happy.

I guess your ex will understand how bad he made you feel when you tell him "No. I love my man and I dont want to hurt him."

i'd say to stay with your current man
your ex missed his chance and now that he's seen that you've moved on he wants to reel you back into his web
remember that you love your current man
tell you what stay with him and if it does not work out then you could return to your ex
it's only fear right

If you care about either of them, you will not bounce back and forth. they probably will not be friends much longer after this. you never date your friends ex girl friends..... ever... unless you dont have much regard for your friend
