it is acceptable, if you guys are attracted to eachother. Me and my husband, we just kissed at the end of our first date. After the second date we started dating, and we were very close to eachother right away, even after we're married we're still close today.

Personally, I think it's better to wait a few dates for that kind of physical contact...it shows the guy that you're not easy and that you care about getting to know him before you get into the more intimiate stuff.
