This is more of a statement of fact!

The question was asked "Is it normal to be jealous?" and most of the answers where "Yes, its normal"!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe all of the enablers that are on this site and are sooo young!! You will all grow up to have serious issues if you dont stop now!

There is nothing normal about being jealous and its not a good thing!!!!!! People are hurt seriously bad or even killed by jealous companions every day THIS IS NOT OK!!! What on earth has you all believing that its alright to be jealous of another person???
Have you ever bothered to look up the meaning of the word?
American Heritage Dictionary: Fearful or wary of being supplanted; apprehensive of losing affection or position. 2a. Resentful or bitter in rivalry; vigilant in guarding a possession; disposed to suspect rivalry or unfaithfulness
YOU DONT SEE THE WORD LOVE ANYWHERE IN THE DEFINITION DO YOU??? Thats because a person that is in love doesnt feel these things. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

I could safely guess that the majority of these young people have: 1) divorced parents
2) re-married parents with step siblings and "joint" babies
3) working mothers who have put their jobs first since the start.
4) No father in the home
5) divorced parents who devote a lot of time to their own love lives, boy/girl friends, affairs, etc. etc.

The (parental) dysfunction is astounding and we're seeing the results.

it is normal to be jealous the difference is in how jealous you are and how you handle it (if you talk to the person who is making you jealous, ignore it and give people the benefit of the doubt, or get angry)
i think that it's just self-righteous to say that it's not normal to be jealous because everyone has been jealous. just because you're in love doesn't change that it just means you are nervous the other person doesn't feel the same way, which would be normal. being in love is a huge risk to take--you can get hurt easily. jealousy is a way of protecting yourself--a defense mechanism. but it is normal.
