If I believe in something to the point of being willing to die for it, what are my responsibilities to that ideal?

I left it vague on purpose. I mean though about my faith in Jesus.

You must know in your soul that it is a right thing for you to do. Any doubt whatsoever throws it out, and start again for something more.............................

The answer to this question depends so very much on what it is you think you are willing to die for. Would you add more details?

you are responsible for your own thoughts and the actions that proceed those thoughts
but, you can not bring anyone else, or have a right, to bring anyone else along on that quest, unless they want to go, also.

It would depend upon your belief...it really would
because if you have children, for instance, this may have a bearing on what it would be possible for you to do, morally and ethically, in the quest for the realization of fulfillling certain criterial wishes, for your cause

You have to determine if that ideal is positive or negative for your eternal soul.

If it's negative, then you must remove it from your life.

If it's positive, then you should help it grow.

what icefire said. I didn't understand that though. Maybe it means that you should never want to die for it literally. Maybe you should stay with your life insteadof dying. =]

the level of responsibility we have to something is as great or as little as we choose - be as responsible as you feel you should and no more
