You definitely can get hives from the lotion. You should take some Benadryl and it should go away.

Also make sure you clean the tanning bed you are using yourself. Some places aren't that clean, and you don't want to hear about some of the diseases some women I have seen have gotten from being in dirty tanning beds. Take your own cleaning supplies from home to. Protect yourself first.

You could be reacting to both the lotion and the heat. Chances are you are allergic to the lotion, but the heat and light can trigger it too.

Also if you are on certain medications or antibiotics, your skin is photosensitized, meaning it is more sensitive to light and you can break out in major hives and look like you are burned just from a 15 minute exposure. So beware of that too.

You could actually be allergic to the rays emitted by the tanning bed. They are very bad for your skin. Use a self tanner instead and avoid wrinkles, age spots and possibly cancer.

Yes if you are allergic to the lotion. Wash it off immediately, take a Benadryl, and never use the product again. Problem solved.

You can't get hives from a tanning bed, but you can get them from the sun normally.

When tanning this is to be expected. It should clear up a few hours if not consult a physcian. You may have a skin allergy if it persists.

you can get hives---it would indicate an allergic reaction to food, cemicals used, direct contact with an irritant; they will itch and sometimes look like whelps marks...benadryl will help ,sometimes they require sterooid therapy
