The Apostle teaches:
2Cor 5:8
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

I think you either accept Jesus's gift of mercy and go to heaven after purifying yourself somehow in Purgatory, or you reject God and decide to spend eternity in Hell. By the way, the choice has to be made on Earth. So, you have to take a chance. Personally, I would jump at a remote chance that there is a heaven even if I didn't believe. What do u have 2 lose?
If you don't believe me, then it's blank nonexistance. Whee. What do you think?

Our spirits came from heaven, and when we "die", they
return to heaven. Unless we reject it, free will and all that!
Jesus told His disciples.
"I'm leaving now, and where I'm going, YOU KNOW THE WAY!"
