Well this is just me, but I think you should go to a church where you and your family are comfortable and not worrying about what ppl are saying to you or about you.
I went to this church while I was growing up , I went to the say church for 18 yrs, and when I moved away from home for some reason church wasn't a big part of my life, and now when I go back to visit the ppl there treat me like an outsider, the only reason I go back is bc my mom still goes there.

First In Acts 2, the last verse it is said Jesus [the second member of The Godhead] added daily to the chruch as such as should be saved, so IF GOD decided you need to be a member then hay you do, now the church, it is one that keeps the commandments of God and has the testamony of Jesus Christ according to Rev 12:17, the commandments are ten commandments hay why not try A Seventh Day Adventist Church in your area the reason you pick a church is because it agrees with The Bible not because it "feels" like family, hay free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless

No. The reason I do not go to church anymore is that every one that I have gone to has treated me like an outcast. No matter how much I worked for the church or how well I did.
Ive since come to the conclusion that God loves all of us regardless if we are actually a member of a sheep community such as organized religion or revere him on our own.
God gave us minds to make our own informed decisions. Not to follow the herd in mindless worship because a pastor or reverend says it should be done according to his own views.
My advice...stay away from organized religion and worship in your own way. It will be the only way you will be truly happy with your religion and the way you practice it.

No, it is not worth it at all! I know you deserve just as much respect as they do, or anyone else, and if you dont mind me saying, you should never forget it.
I believe no one should ever stay where they are not respected, not one minute there! There's no way to no what else they could be doing or saying, for instance, even messing up potential jobs for you, or one that you now have.
And they are more than likely a truly godless people, capable of all kinds of abominable things when they are not there that you could become party too!
They are certainly not worth the company of a person as nice as you.

If you feel out-casted by a church, then how are you supposed to connect with God there? In my opinion, find another church that treats you better.

If that is your church's attitude, then they're not being very christian, treating you like that. Find a friendlier church. People are supposed to love one another (agape). But if you can't find one, then I'd stay. God is more important than inhospitable churchgoers. Unless, of course, YOU are the one being a jerk and they don't like it. Why don't you ask why they don't like u?

How old are you. Could you become more involved in church activities? How big is the church?
Don't become a church connoisseur. But , also, don't stay in a church that hinders your relationship with God.

I would have once said yes, but that was a different me. I think it is very important to find a church that will care about you as a person, faults and all. But I guess that is just me...
