We got engaged the day before Halloween. I came home and he had a pumpkin on the table with knives and stuff and said he thought we could make a jack-o-lantern together. I thought that was so sweet. He had already "prepped" the pumpkin, so all we had to do was carve the face. When I pulled the lid off the pumpkin, there was a ring attached on a string. It was so surprising, I never saw it coming. Then he got on his knee, asked me to marry him, and then he put on "our song" and we danced while I cried.

It really depends on her personality, and the experiences the two of you have shared. Did you meet somewhere interesting? Then taking her there to propose might be nice. Do you live somewhere with romantic places like mountaintops or lakes nearby? Do you have a favorite restaurant? Could you talk the waiter into serving her ring on something like a cake, at the bottom of a glass of champagne (just make sure she doesn't choke on it), or in its box at the edge of her plate? Unless you are absolutely sure (and have talked about it) that her answer will be yes, do not ask her in front of other people. Do not propose in a car, in an alley, or any other low-class place. Feel free to keep it simple but make sure she knows you put some thought into it - especially, thought of what she likes, into it. Regardless of the way you choose to do so, I'm excited for you both. Best wishes! :)

The perfect way to propose would be in a fairytale kind of setting. For example walking down the beach watching the sunset/sunrise and have the Will you marry me? written in the sand. Try to be as creative as possible (which I am sorry to say is hard for men to be). If you can come up with something creative then it won't matter if it is simple.

if she likes pirates take her to a small beach and have her follow the map for the box with the ring or something of that sort. OOhh dressing up like a pirate would be cool too.

If she prefers music ask her to dance with you (which will be your and her "song") and propose therenear the ending of the song.

or you could wait until thanksgiving, say your very thankful for her, then propose!

be creative ^_^
Best of luck to the both of you, God bless!

a friend of mine took his girl out to dinner and then they stopped at a park where he had set up a bunch of candles and a blanket in the middle of the candles and he proposed to her out there under the stars...

awe....proposals are sweet in themselves but guys can always mess things up! No offense :)
I would suggest something simple...like maybe picking or buying flowers she likes...and maybe taking her somewhere she has never been or has always wanted to go with you.
