Ok, I did something stupid. When we started painting the outside of our house about a month ago, I taped off the around my windows, (I taped on the glass). Now the tape has become part of the window!! If I scrape and scrape and scrape with a razor blade, it comes off but in really small pieces. Anybody know of an easier way to get it off?

try soaking the tape with paint thinner (apply with a brush) let sit for an hour or so, it should scrape off easily then.

The good part of this is that the tape is stuck to glass...a surface you don't have to worry about damaging with solvents. Most of the time, painters tape is stuck to wood or a painted surface and you can't use solvents like acetone without damaging the surface.

Try using "Goo Gone"...its a citrus-based solvent specifically designed for removing adhesive residues of all types...tape, stickers, tar, sap, etc... I've used it for a variety of things and it works pretty well.
