The best way to lose weight is a balance of exercise and nutrition. Lets start with nutrition. You need to count calories. An average person eats about 2000 calories a day. you need to cut that by half. So eating about 1000 to 1500 calories a day is good. Try eating smaller portions. Also, you probably have a slow metabolism. Try eating 5 small meals a day. Include a lot of fruits and vegetables. Exercise is the hard but fun part. if you want to loose weight fast try exercising at least 5-6 days a week with 1 day of rest. Exercise must include cardio 5 days a week and weight/resistance exercise 2-3 days a week. Cardio can include running, biking, anything that will get your heart pumping. Try doing cardio atleast an hour a day except when you do resistance exercise where you can do 30 mins of weights and 30 mins of cardio. Weight lifting should include low weights ( for you) 5 pounds is perfect and lots of reps. maybe 3 sets of 15. You should google resistance exercise. You'll be great if you can do this.

First of all, how tall are you and how much do you weigh? I ask this because, since you're still very young, you should really try to stay away from diet programs, except for extreme cases. If you like soda, that's one thing you should cut down on. Drink cold water with your meals. The body uses more energy to regulate its temperature and use it (energy=calories). Other than that, just get outside and get more exercise. The more active you are, the more your body will burn. Most likely you will still grow some before reaching adulthood, so don't risk stunting your growth with unnecessary diets. Good luck.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Get latest info like American Heart Association does not want you to eat more than 6 ounces daily of meat, fish or poultry. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

The maximum weight that can be lost safely by a person is 1-2 kg a week. Any faster weight loss could adversely affect your health, and you could regain it quickly after you stop the weight loss program. More information on a weight loss diet and exercises available at http://tinyurl.com/jax5h

I would suggest that youtalk this over with your Mom and have her take you to her doctor who will tell you what you should weigh per height , body type and age. He may refer you to a nutritionist to supply you with a heaalthy good food list such as all vegetables, fruits, lean meat, milk(SKIM) and a Bad for you list such as--Sugary Soft Drinks(drink Diet and WATER-must drink 7-8 glasses of water each day to have fat loss occur)Fast Fried foods-limit burgers to 1 per week and the same with fries)Fried foods(bake instead-can also bake fries-tasty but no fat)Sweets. Will also recommend you be active-jog,bike,swim,dance,jump rope-excellent-approx 20-30 min)To lose weight must eat sensibly and healthy and move---must burn more calories than you keep and you do this with activities. go to ventura.k12.ca.us/childnutrition/index.htm website will tell you what the good foods are ,examples of healthy snacks and meal plans. Once you know what to eat concentrate on those foods but do treat yourself once a week for that way you will not crave the food such as fast food so bad that you'll go crazy and eat a whole bunch at one time, Do not go on fad diets-for once you stop you'll be gain all back and more. The key is to eat sensible-eat only till you feel full then stop even if food left still on plate. Do not do a lot of snacking between meas-instead chew on sugarless gum, drink water to fill you up and healthy, eat fruit-esp apples and check calories on food and whats in it. Good Luck

Think to yourself, is it really necessary to loose it that fast?.. You should loose it naturally, after talking with your parents about it, and under the supervision of your doctor... better to get all of the nutrients that you need at your age than try some crash diet... also when you starve your body your telling your digest system to slow down... plan for some other future, more practical goal, and with a doctors supervision..

Do your grocery shopping with a list and an occasion limit; that way, you're more unlikely to stray into the highly processed foods section.

Decaf coffee is a great low-calorie fluid when you're having cravings (and an excellent source of antioxidants).
