i'm a firefighter/EMT and i'm starting to get the point girls don't want be with me because of the risk i take at my job, my last girlfirend was prob the best bc she liked me doing it, she said she looks up to people like me to put my life on the line, but we broke up becuase long distance didn't really work but are there girls out there that wont try to get me quit the fire service because i really don't want to do that but... it's like everytime i meet a girl there like "oh your a firefighter, i love firefighters" then after a while we end up braking up because they feel i take to big of a risk and possibly not come home that day, are there girls that don't feel this way and would try to have a relationship with a firefighter?

i understand why they have a feeling why you wont ever step into the door ever again, but trust me, you will find someone who loves you enough to trust that you will do anything to get back home and say "Honey, I'm alive!".

I'm tranning to be a police officer. I know a few firefighters and i understand where you are comming from.
I think you have just not found the right girl yet.
I think if they like you enough and they realy want to be with you, they will respect your job and you.
I know that if a bloke ever asked me to quit, i would not be with them because they dont love everything about me. Thats the whole point of being with someone.

One of the blokes i know felt like you. He is now married to a great girl who is on he's watch. They now work at the station together.

There's a womoan for you out there. Maybe as you're starting your next relationship, you can emphasize that you are completely happy and fulfilled in your job and that while there are risks, you wouldn't be happy doing anything else. Emphasize that you are trained and careful on the job. I think your dedication to your work shows that you are grounded, responsible, and professional. It also is nice that you're so passionate about your career and your life's work. That's attractive!

definately. everyone knows the job you have is high-risk but there are girls out there that do realize that what you do is heroric it's in a womans nature to worry about the ones they love but we also know we cant stress on "what could be". if we spend all day and night worrying, then we miss out on things. so don't worry. you'll find someone who will understand and support you.

You just haven't met the right girl yet. My daughter dates a paratrooper and he may be deployed to Iraq in the near future. He will be putting his life on the line. If you can find a girl who loves you she will support you in anything you do. Good luck.

death rates are the same for firefighters, little kindergarden kids, housewives and dogs. one per living creature. all anyone or anything can ever do is 'hedge your bets' bet right and and try to livr longer.
