Most mammals, including dogs, have belly buttons. In dogs they appear as small scars along the stomach, rather than indented belly buttons. These scars usually fade away after a few years, but you can still see them in puppies. When mammals (including us!) are in the mother's womb, they receive nutrients and oxygen through an umbilical cord that attaches to their tummy. After mammals are born, their cords are broken. You'll notice that very young human babies still have parts of their umbilical cords. These eventually drop off, leaving navels, or belly buttons.

Of course they do.

If they didn't have belly buttons they would have starved to death while they were in the bitches' womb.

My dalmatian has a belly button.

They aren't as pronounced as human's belly buttons so they aren't that easy to see. My guinea pigs even have belly buttons.. soo sweet!
