God is only good - he is love and he is infinate

Wow..... see right there- you just highlighted one of the biggest problems with the question of the existence of god- i.e.- ireducible complexity....... the fact that God represents an infinite regress. What this means is, we use god as an explination for a lot of things, like- okay why are we here? well god put us here, or why does the earth go around the sun? well we don't know so let's say god made it that way........ ultimately you can regress any question to an answer of well - god made it that way. The problem with that is- God as a concept also needs an explination and the obvious answer is- man put god there to answer all the things he didn't understand at that time. As science advances and fills in the gaps in our knowledge, god has less holes to hide in. You mentioned gods in your question- most people are atheist about hundreds of gods, zeus, woden, aphrodite, thor, etc- we are all atheists about the whole panthen of Roman or Greek gods....... some people- atheists - just go one god further.

I believe in a Higher Power that has all the potential of good and evil ( positive and negative ), within them or they would not be able to exist at all.

But that Higher Power ( male or female ) chooses only good and wants only the best for us.

However, some people believe the Higher Power is an impersonal deity mostly. And that it is really up to us how we do in life, and thereafter. That would not mean there is not a reward such as paradise, however!

I am a firm believer that God does not use judgement such as good or evil. Why would the creator of everything judge what he creates? I believe all things we deem good or evil are just ways of expressing what we want in our lives and what we don't want. God, to me, does not judge our actions, rather loves us unconditionally and supports our deepest desire for our souls to learn the lessons we want to learn, and experience the life we want to experience. An all powerful God would not create beings that could wrong him, or that he would condemn, only perfect beings that he loves unconditionally.

There is a lot of controversy as to, is it true what is written on the Holy Book, did the Lord God ordered some of his people to write it? Read the wholy scriptures and come to your own conclusions, and if you believe what you read hurray for you if not that is your personal opinion of it. I do believe that God is above good and evil but, as I say that is my own belief in it I do not profess it to be the truth.

My opinion is that good and evil are human concepts. God to me is the culmination of all the rules of the universe or just the force that keeps things in order. So God, to me, is above good and evil. Good is something that helps us enjoy life. Evil is something that obstructs is from enjoying life. God lets whatever happen, as long as the rules of the universe are followed. He, She, or It, keeps things running smoothly and balances things out.

Jehovah’s love for his faithful servants is everlasting; it does not fail or diminish, no matter in what circumstances, high or low, his servants may be, or what things, great or small, may come against them. The apostle Paul exclaimed: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”—Ro 8:38, 39.

Jehovah God allowed the Devil to live and to put his servants, even his only-begotten Son, to the test, to the point of death. God foretold the faithfulness of Jesus Christ. (Isa 53) How could he do this, staking his word on his Son? Because of love. Jehovah knew his Son and knew the love his Son had for Him and for righteousness. (Heb 1:9) He knew his Son most intimately and thoroughly. (Mt 11:27) He had full trust and confidence in the Son’s faithfulness. More than that, “love . . . is a perfect bond of union.” (Col 3:14) It is the most powerful bond in the universe, perfect love bonding the Son and the Father together unbreakably. For like reasons, God could trust his organization of servants, knowing that love would hold most of them immovably to him under test and that his organization of creatures would never secede in toto.—Ps 110:3.
