Hey guys I have been thinking of getting a Canon A530 or a Nikon L3? which is the best?

Just the fact that it has an optical viewfinder and the Nikon does not would make me choose the Canon in this comparison. They are otherwise very similar cameras. The Canon zooms out a bit more. Go to this site and read the user comments. The Canon got 4 stars (out of 5) and the Nikon only got 3. That's significant.

Although Nikon L3 is a fancy looking camera but its tiny lens is not capable of taking good pictures. Canon is still the bestand perhaps will remain the best. Canon has more functionality and you as a user have more control over the pictures.

I use canon and you can view my photos on my website, just refresh the home page to see a new random picture.

canon is always better then nikon. I have had them both and now I am canon all the way.
Nikon is very slow to focus and sometimes wont focus at all. . go with canon.
