I watched the movie, It was intresting..But fiction..I think society is trying everything they can to try to falsify the bible as much as they can....They try to say man wrote the bible..True ..in reality man did write it, But the words are from God and Only God...

But Jesus Christ was Holy..He did not sleep with Mary Magdeline..He was our sacrifice for our sins ..Therefore he had to be Holy...Satan tried to temp him and did not suceed..True enough he was in flesh..But He was God and God created all things and he is all powerful...So I hardly belive that he layed with a woman and became impure.....He was untouched....HOLY

Not sure I understand the hype, unless it's just everybody's excuse not to feel guilty about their lack of faith.

I read the book, didn't bother with the movie. Couldn't get past the fact that a mortally wounded man would have left all those elaborate clues and avoided the final death throes and bodily releases to stay in the position of Leonardo's Vitruvius illustration.

Having studied Art History, I was confused by many of his "theories." Christian bashing, seems to be the only reason for it being a best seller. How did the movie handle the old folks having sex in the sanctuary?

The book was so much better than the movie!!! I think it is a good thing, Dan Brown has educated the world about some of the origins of Christianity a little bit more. Obviously the most part is FICTION, but the stuff about Pagan symbols etc is all true!
I cant see why some people are getting so bent out of shape over a book though...

It's a good book, but the movie wasn't as interesting. I've always kind of laughed at the people so insecure in their faith that they protest a book that portrays their religion negatively. It is beyond pathetic when people don't research the beginnings of their own religions, but then get really angry when something resembling the truth is published. I liked all the symbology thrown in, fascinating stuff.

I loved it. I thought is was very cleverly thought out, and it discussed knowledge that main stream society has forgotten about (like the pagan religions).

I don't personally put any stock into religion, but I understand that it can be a comfort for other people. I like things that allow a person to keep the religion that gives them purpose and hope, while also being able to incorporate the positive changes that our society is experiencing (i.e. greater respect for women, gay people, people of color, etc.) I think that without these things allowing religions to change with society, people would lose a lot of the possible good that goes with religion.

We already have that info in Holy Blood, Holy Grail, I believe.

It does a good job sometimes in providing information but it falls way short of the truth.

We could let Christian people keep their believes, if they agreed that following them is not mandatory in order for them to lead happy lives and not be harassed by Fundamentalists.

And if they ( the Christians ), believed they were "one" path to the higher power, and not the only one.

But i don't think it is neccasary to take apart or make mockery of all their ( the Christians ) believes.

It Is somehow very cruel and unnessasary. And it was what the country was built on. It will cause total confusion to masses of people.

The story is fiction, the theories are just that, theories. But they are valid theories. There are some religions that do believe that Christ was married. However, the point is, regardless if he was married or not, it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things to make it to heaven. I would like to think he was married; if so, then that puts the value of a family much higher.

May I remind those who say fiction is fiction, Alexander Dumas was very notorious for writing fiction and theories based around actual historical (or small) events in his life.

I loved the book and movie, although books are always better. However, there were many points in the book i did not agree with, but overall it was entertaining and i enjoyed it.

work of the media to drain off people from the church so they spend their money and contributions on secular things. Its a war of economy - destroy the credibility of all the christian churches - scatter the sheep and then sell them all the sin you can. I like churches - we need organization of some sort. People go to ruin when they dont have something controlling thier lives. Look at all the dopers and ruined familys - suicides - homicides. Its statistically proven that the suicide - homicide rate of church goers it very low compared to non church goers.
