Watson is an American - he was a permanent resident - he is NOT a citizen of Canada. He has a Canadian citizen wife and children. And he was still dumb enough to fondle a teenage American girl.
By rights he should be in jail in his own country - that is where he was convicted. USA has NO right to be dumping their pedophiles onto Canada. Canada is going through the courts to get Watson removed from Ontario and sent back to the States. They should be Deporting him immediately as he is now a convicted pedophile, Canada should also be revoking his permenent residency as well.

Was the sex offender an American citizen ? Or was he a Canadian and committed his crime here ? That doesn't sound right that an American judge could sentence an American to a Canadian prison.Are you sure you have all your facts correct.? I don't think what you are asking/saying can be done.

Usually is about a deal worked out for a lighter sentence, maybe the dude plead guilty rather then drag the other person into testify, I am sure that the Canadians will take good care of him, no body likes a sex offender.

i don't know what you are talking about. BUT- the courts can do what they want. For example- in a county- a person is charged with a crime and sent to state prison. Usually-the prison is 300 miles away. they can even send them to different states.
