I think it's important - you need to feel like your man can protect you, and if he's shorter than you it just hasn't got the same feel to it.

I used to think it was very important. I would not date a guy shorter than me and I am 5'10". Then I met the guy I am with now who is 2" shorter than me. At first it was really hard, but we've been together for 6 years and have a 4 year old little girl. So height is NOT important.

It depends on the height of the woman...i'd prefer a tall man as i'm tall myself..i'd feel less feminine with a smaller man than myself, having said that height isn't all that important if the person is right for you.

Don't you think it depends on which woman? There are no absolutes in life... except death. I'm sure it's important to some women and unimportant to others. I'm 5' 8" and I once dated a blonde who was 6'4". We got along just fine!! AND, here's something to consider... All women are the same height when they're horizontal!!

For me there is no problem with height, have married
three times, first was tall, second short and third short.
By short in my case both are about 5ft2in. But I have
some friends who have a distinct preference for one
or the other, at the moment I would say for the tall.

I think it's nice when a guy's a least a little bit taller than me. I don't think I'm too fussy when it comes to physical features or anything but I don't think I'd be too comfortable if my man was shorter than me- I should point out though that I'm only 5'2", I would maybe feel different if I was taller.

I have only been out with guys who are taller then myself but that's not surprising as I'm only 5 ft 1 1/2.
I went out with a guy who was 6ft but I got a pain in my neck kissing him (standing up of course).
My new guy is about 4 inches taller than me which is much more comfortable (kissing whilst standing up)

Depends which shelf the woman wants the jar of coffee from. If it's the top shelf, then very important.

I am 5' 6" and only ever looked at men over 6' tall.
Then I met one who is 5' 10" and we fit together nicely.
But I definately would not go out with a man smaller than me
