Recently, I had a coworker, who is higher in rank than me, make a somewhat rude comment about my job position and the money that I make. When he was saying it, his body language and tone didn't indicate that he was joking. I was definitely offended by what he had said. So later on that day I brought it up to him that I thought his comment was uncalled for and unwelcome. He responded by saying that he was only joking and that he jokes around with everyone. I told him that I don't know him that well yet and it was hard for me to tell that he was joking with me. So he apologized and I accepted his apology. A few days later, we went out to lunch with coworkers and, while joking around with others, he made comments such as "I like that Marty (or whover) doesn't get mad at me when I joke with him". And he made these comments in front of everyone else. He probably did it at least 4 times. What would you do you in this type of situation?
