i want to know what do u call "time taken to adjust my eyes against sudden light"

you may have what is called Photophobia

Photophobia is pain and watering of the eyes on exposure to bright light. It may be a symptom of several conditions like corneal injuries, meningitis etc.

The time taken for vision to adapt when a person goes into a dark room from a well lit room is called "dark adaptation" time and vice versa.

"Time taken to adjust yr eyes against sudden light" is called 'ACCOMODATION'
In case of light & dark adaptation eyes take sometime 4 a proper vision.
photophobia is a term 4 intance burning of eyes.

They call it photophobia. They hurt because of muscle strain trying to adjust to the sudden glaring light. Frequently migraine sufferers complain of this.
