It's often a lie when a guy tells a woman he loves her, not sometimes!

But, if it's true - well it's true.

Words don't mean a lot really. Does he close his eyes when he kisses you? Does he hug you when you tell him that you feel worried about something? Does he introduce you nicely to his friends? Does he give it an effort to make you feel comfortable in his presence? Would he stand up and defend your name in public? Would he? It might be love........

There is no way to tell. And it sucks. But it's a risk you gotta take. You have the choice to doubt everyone and push them all away. Or you can make the choice to live and love. There is no in between sorry but there isnt. You're heart will break and you will learn but its part of life. And yes you are right, some guys say it and dont mean it at ALL. But....its your choice! GOOD LUCK

Love is such a strong word and to use it is difficult. He probably isnt lying to you about this. BUT if he were, you would know by seeing how much effort he placed in getting into the pants. I have said this word to a past girlfriend after 2 weeks, meant it, and a year and a bit later, married her and she sleeps in the same bed right now!

Well, I think he has to show through his actions that he loves you. Here are some guidelines that you could use to test his truthfulness.

1. He looks into your eyes when he says he loves you.
2. He holds you firmly when he's saying this
3. He's saying it slowly and confidently

He should also be able to back up with words by his actions. What he does for you and how he helps you when you're in need of help. How loyal he is to you when tempted by another girl (and I'm sure he will be tested in this area). These factors can help you decide his sincereity.

Well think of how long he's known you and what would he be willing to give up for you? That is how you know if he loves you or not.

If he has known you for a short while, he's still in the crush stage.

If you know that he would go anywhere to be with you, and be upset for a VERY long time if you were ever absent in his life, then that is how you know if he loves you.

words are cheap. he needs to show that he loves you. what does he do for you? how much is he committed? you can tell if he is lying or not by the way he treats you. some men will tell you anything to get in your pants or for their own agenda.

The eyes tell alot, the kiss will tell you even more. But, when your relationship comes to the point where he will lay down his life and die for you...he REALLY loves you.

You can only go with your best instinct. Everyone lies so it makes no sense to always ask if you're hearing the truth. You need to see how he behaves towards you., Respectful ? Kind? Thoughtful? Look into his heart. Believe your feelings, not your ears.

If he really loves you he will do anything for you no matter when or where he is! So that is how it is and the only question is do you feel the same way?

Test him. Say, "I wish you wouldn't say things you don't mean," and don't smile when you say it, but look upset. Chances are, depending on whether it was true, he will either apologize, or insist with equal soberness that it was the truth.

But then, I confess I've been wrong before.
