I seem to get rave reviews for my burgers - from my nieces and they are fussy eaters.
When I season the raw burger I add one raw egg, then fresh, finely minced, garlic and onion, a dash of Worcestershire sauce (no salt because the Worcestershire is already salted), a little black pepper, a little Italian bread crumbs, and sometimes I add a little bit very finely minced celery (but remove the celery threads from the celery before mincing, it makes the celery easier to mince) mix all ingredients in a large stainless mixing bowl (mix by hand just until well blended) then form the meat into a generous patty but don't flatten out the meat too much or the burgers will dry out on the grill instead leave the patty a bit thick so the burger will remain juicy after it cooks. Remember, too thin and it will dry out your burger. It's kind of trial and error till you figure out what works for you.
Happy burgering!

I have one big spice rack and I will share with you the ones I use most. I only use Garlic Powder for emergencies or if there is not other way to use the real deal. Real Garlics. I am never without those and use them in almost everything. They taste superior and are good for you. I use real onions, never without. So, spice rack (some I buy the real thing but that's not what your question is) Parsley, Cream of Tarter, Rosemary (great for toning down (sweetening) esp if you've gotten something too spicy happening, Cilantro, Chives, Coriander, Yellow Mustard, Chili Powder, Allspice, Onion, Dill Seeds, Italian Herb, Thyme, Basil, Paprika, Crushed and Sea Salt, Ground pepper, Bay Leaves, Oregano, Nutmeg, Ground Ginger, Cumin Seed, Cloves, Marjoram, Celery Seed, Rubber Sage, Savory, Cinnamon. That's my spice rack. Some are necessary but many come fresh and way better in taste. Once you get used to them you'll learn the amounts. For now, follow directions. Start out with a good cookbook. One that has everything in every category of foods. There's nothing like a good recipe to begin cooking well. Eventually you get the hang of it and can explore. Good Luck

I add garlic powder, salt and pepper. Sometimes I use seasoned salt. When I cook a hamburger and I want a different taste I add different cheeses. Also try putting cheese and bacon inside the burger, that is good. Just form 2 patties and put the cheese and cooked bacon between the patties and seal together. Cook as usual. Also try putting butter mixed with garlic powder in between the burgers, like above. Also very good.

In every dish I cook, I use garlic, red pepper, and a little salt (just a pinch). I rarely use black pepper, and red when used in moderation is great. My 10 year old is the same way about spicy things, and he doesn't even think my food is too hot.

I love cooking with seasoning salt (lawry's or mccormick makes it or any brand will do).. It's not just plain salt, but its a mixture and it's not spicy but it's better than plain white salt. You can use this seasoning in everything on everything. Garlic salt, garlic powder, onion powder soy sauce in burgers is great. Worshcestersire sauce (Lea & Perrins) is good to soak the hamburger meat in while your making the patties, Hines 57, A-1... Can you tell I like having my food seasoned?

Cumin will give you a smoky flavor, but not hot flavor. I use it in my burgers with some garlic and onion salt and worsterschire sause. Also really good on pork. It gives it a mexican flare without the heat of mexican spices.
