I'm about 5 feet 3 inches tall and all the traditional archers bows I can find are too tall for me. Any one that can tell me the approprite height of a bow for me would be a big help. I've used all the search engines and they give me are for "bow ties".

You are probably looking at "Longbows" You should try looking at "Recurve" bows. Because of their design, they tend to be quite abit shorter.

I would take Donnie's advice,They would be more adaptable for hunting in brush too,I have a compound but I love the look and feel of the recurve. If I wasn't so dang old I am sure I would have one,and then maybe I will yet.
