Have you wondered what reason God had to create this earth (if that is what in fact happened), then to create life such that humans eventually evolved, gave them free will to make decisions, and then let all hell break loose on earth. With of course the expectation that we would all want to love God and live to serve him, etc. What is the point? Is this supposed to be some kind of game for him? Why did he bother? I wish I understood, but I don't, and when I see all the pain, suffering, evil, etc., I wonder - why??????

I wasn't putting this forward as a theory - just a question. It's interesting to see how some answers come from a place of humility, love, etc., and others are just so full of themselves - and I think you know who you are.

I understand what you're saying, sometimes it seems so pointless. I do know that God created us for fellowship with Him. He gave us free will so that we could choose and not be forced into a relationship w/Him. And look what happened? Adam & Eve decided to do their own thing, hence the beginning of "sin." Sin and evil have perpetuated into an all time high, satan is real and knows his time is short so he wants to take many of us with him to hell. he won't be taking me and I hope he won't be taking you. Once this life is passed and Jesus has come again, we will live with God in heaven in perfection. We know He could stop all the pain, and He will, but in His timing on His terms. Go to Him with your questions. He will answer you. He loves you and still wants a relationship with you. Don't get bogged down by all that is happening (even tho it's hard not to) stay focused on Christ. Be wise. :)

Your theory is flawed.

Gen. 1:26-27 26 Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”

27 So God created human beings in his own image.
In the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.

It was in the garden that the fall of man occured. Eve was deceived by the surpent. She ate the fruit; gave some to her husband (and mind you; he never said, "Eve, NO.")

The point is that He (God) made us for relationship. Relationship with Him, first and foremore. Then relationship with one another.

This isn't a game. There was a re-set button (flood - Noah) but He's opted not to do that again.

He bothered because He loves us...and He wanted us to love Him in return. That is why He gave us free will.

You need to remember that God didn't create evil. He did create Lucifer. Lucifer allowed pride in His heart and was evicted from Heaven. He (Satan) knows he's not going back and doesn't want any of us going there either.

Evil was born with Satan. The evil in this world is his and his alone.

God is good, He is faithful and He is righteous.

He wants a personal relationship with all of us. Each and every one of us.

What path will you choose?

Ultimately, I don't know why.

From what I know about God, I am certain his reasons weren't so that he could play a game.

You will get to know one day why God created the world. We all will.

The simplest answer that I go by at the moment is this: Because it suited his good purposes to do so.

Imagine if the Sims part like 6 was just like earth? So the Sims6 would be exactly like earth. That would be a fun and horrible game.

Some of your Sims would go around and rape little girls and kill them. Geez that would be one sicking horrible game. I would not play it.

To answer your question I do not believe in god. Or at least god in the way most people see him, her or it.

Maybe God is sleeping, and we are his dream, and when he wakes up we are all going to disappear.
