The United States people have got to start behaving like a country that will defend itself against all who try to put us down. We picker among ourselves shamelessly, but we are a family. A large family at that. When other countries begin to rip us apart piece by piece, like they're doing now, we should square our shoulders, straighten our back, lift our chins and kick a**. We don't need to go to war per say, but enough of putting the United States down - by them, and by ourselves.
Turn in our guns.. not this lady, sorry. I'll stay armed! It's part of our Constitutional Right!
Lauren - now no offense to anyone - but we have how many illegal immigrants coming in.. we need a background check on these people. I am NOT referring to just the Mexican border, so please, don't assume I am. We also have our own people seemingly turning their backs on us.

Yes. Define war.
World War Two, where we had set lines, No we will not have that.
The war in Iraq, yes that is what we will have. If a Liberal Democrate is elected, we will pull out of Iraq and the Jihadist will claim a victory and once again, try to infiltrate U.S. soil. Sooner or later they will get through.
And no, I will never!! Turn in my guns. If legal guns are turned in, imagine the chaos and crime that would insue from illegal guns in the hands of criminals.
If there starts to be attacks on us soil, I'll take my .38 S&W and my .223 savage and go for a hunt.

Let's all remember when the time comes that war is a team sport. Identify your leader and be loyal to that person. Make sure you take care of your own family then get involved. Have everyone in your family trained to know what to do and where to go, etc. Anyone 8 and older should know how to defend themselves, but they have to be taught. Posturing and sword waving is of little use. Put your efforts into readiness and live a soldier's life. We are all responsible for the defense of our country. Be a collector!

They can take my gun over my dead body... but then I'd probably already be in the military by that point, since I'm planning to do ROTC. Seriously, I don't think we'll have a war on our soil anytime soon; our military too far outclasses everybody else's for them to get into our territory. We might have a major war in Korea or Taiwan sometime soon though.

i highly doubt it. it would be near impossible to invade us unless it was airstrikes. and 1. we're not threatened by the cubans as someone else said; they want just as much as anyone else for castro to have eternal sleep so they can be free again. 2. we're the ones always going into other countries....how many times in the last 100 years has there been a war ON U.S soil?

Of course there could be some sort of attack, but a war? With whom?
If the government ordered the American people to turn in their guns, nothing would happen.

Well, we were already attacked by the Taliban...and the Democrats have pretty much allied themselves with the Taliban. So I guess, technically we already are at war...albeit a predominantly "cold" war on U.S. soil.
Will the USA (the government?) make people turn it their guns? Certainly...eventually. All great socialist, fascist, and/or communist governments make "their" people turn in their guns. It's only a matter of time.

that is exciting to play the "who might win?" activity, yet that has not something to do with no rely if the two worldwide places might ever visit conflict. this is why China and the U.S. only isn't going to conflict in the close to destiny: economics. each and every u . s . a . is the different's best marketplace. it would be economic suicide for the two section to be belligerent with its best shopper bases. without China, the U.S. economic device may well be ruined, and without the U.S., the chinese language economic device may well be in ruins. as long as the two worldwide places are figuring out to purchase and merchandising, they gained't be going to conflict.
