My mother has brown eyes, my dad has blue. I came out with dark green... how did that happen? (And just in case you're wondering, yes I know hes my real father! LOL)
Also I was wondering where we get our hair type gene from. Is it really just from your mothers father? I havent been able to find 2 people to agree on this answer.

it's just in the genes. A friend of mine was blond and his sister had red hair I believe both parents (biological) had brown hair. As for the hair type no clue both my hubby and I have rather thin hair, even though I have a lot of it, but both my kids have very think hair.

When one parent has brown eyes and the other parent has blue eyes then their children are likely to have green eyes! Your hair type could come from either side of the family.

First your eye color could have come from you Grandparents as well as your Mom or Dad! Now about your hair question I have very curly hair and my Dad and Mom have straight thin and my hair is thick I guess you can get that from your Grandparents too!

fairly wavy dark golden blonde hair.. no longer so particular approximately my eye shade however.. (It has a mix of deep lifeless night blue, and somewhat of a golden shade, earthy green, somewhat of gray, and a deep ocean blue shade.)
