Because Paul had converted to the Roman state religion before he picked up the fledgling little Jewish sect from Jesus's brothers and combined it with Roman and Greek mythology to create a new religion. The only thing Jewish Paul left in the ministry of Jesus was the idea of one "God", but even then he created a trinity, mimicking the hierarchy of Roman/Greek deities.

Christians aren't Jewish because Christianity is a contrived corruption of Judaism. Jesus's actual faith was Essene, which was a Jewish sect.

Jesus was Jewish, and most of his disciples during his lifetime were Jewish. The earliest Christians still considered themselves to be Jewish, and continued to worship in Jewish synagogues. In fact, the separation between Judaism and Christianity was a gradual process. One factor that led to the separation of the two religions is that a lot of tension was created in the synagogues when they began to proclaim him as the Messiah. It would seem that some synagogues expelled their members who followed Jesus. Probably a bigger factor, though, was that the followers of Jesus began evangelizing non-Jews. There were some significant differences between the Jews and non-Jews, the Gentiles. For one, Jews circumcised their men; Gentiles usually did not. Also, Jews followed certain dietary laws (many still do today) which the Gentiles did not follow. When we read the Book of Acts and many of the Epistles of Paul, we can see that there was quite a bit of discussion over whether the Gentiles needed to circumcise their men and adopt Jewish customs in order to become Christian. The Apostle Paul insisted that being a Christian was not dependent upon following Jewish law, but upon having faith in Jesus as the Son of God. In making these arguments, Paul and his allies created a distinction between what it meant to be Jewish and what it meant to be Christian. This distinction became more pronounced over time, and the two traditions headed off in different directions.

Jesus was a Jew however the Jewish faith changed since Jesus death. The Jews do not believe Jesus was the son of God or the Savior. They believe the Savior has yet to come. Christians came later and do believe Jesus was who he said he was. If Jesus were alive today he would not be Jewish by today's standards

Jesus was a jew. His followers are Christian. The word Christian came from Jesus Christ, or Jesus de Christo means Jesus of the Cross. He was the foundation of the Christian religion along with Saint Peter. Technically he was Jewish because his parents were Jewish and he was raised in the Jewish faith and he claimed to be the messiah prophesized to come.

Don't you mean to say if Jesus was a Jew, why aren't Jews Christians? A Christian can't become a Jew...unless they were already born Jewish to begin with. Jewish is a race, Christianity is a religion.

Simply because when Paul decided he wanted to garner a large following for Christianity, he went outside the Jewish people.
The very early Christians did convert to Judaism, but that requirement made Christianity unpopular, since being Jewish is not easy... Thus, that requirement was scratched. Simple pragmatism had won.
And one last point:
Jesus did not fulfill the Jewish messianic requirements.

The terms 'Jews' can be used to refer the race of Jewish people, or to those who practice Judaism. Jesus opened up salvation for all people, regardless of their race, Jews and Gentiles (everybody else) together.

Which way are asking about?
Ethnic: means with your genetic make-up, which comes at birth from your parents, etc.

Religion: Most likely your choice. Christianity means: little Christians in the bible. Read the book of Acts for more about your question. Acts is about all the many acts which Christianity is founded.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that you may not perish but have everlasting Life". The first step to Christianity...in John 3:16. Do you know Jesus loves you?

People converted to Christianity, they aren't his actual kids. A mother has to be Jewish for the kids to be, not the father. Did Jesus have any real offspring or even have a wife? No offence people but if he had a son, the son would be ashamed of his father anyway.

When one gets born of God, one also gets born through faith in Jesus. Jesus was born of a Jewish Mother. So, when we are born of God we also are of the Jewish family through Jesus Christ.

So you could write that Christians are Jewish, at least by adoption.

Also, there were false Jews, after Christ, who were of Satan and ruled in the Synagogues; And those false Jews gave Jews a bad name, and some of their false writings could still be around. (Revelations to the churches)
