Starbursts or Now and Laters do wonders Ask him to bite into it, but not chew it (you don't want him to accidently swallow the tooth) My Kindergarteners love loosing their teeth this way. I'm not allowed to pull teeth as a teacher so it's a great way because they basically do it themselves and are not afraid of when the pull is going to happen. Only do this if the tooth is really ready to fall out. I always give my kids the choice to, if they don't want to then they aren't ready for it yet.

My daughter was scared also. So I just left it alone. It fell out on its own. The next time she had a loose tooth she got tired of it flopping and let me pull it out. Actually I got a good grip with my fingers and let her be the one to pull away. That way she was in control if she wanted to stop. She did a great job.

Give him an apple to eat. It is so hard that it will cause his tooth to come out, usually with the first bite!! Don't pull out the tooth!! It is much fun for him this way, and you get a good laugh out of it too. Video it is good too!!

I agree with not pulling it out. When the tooth is ready and the one below it is too it will fall out on its own. If you pull it out too soon your child will be left with a space for a lot longer than waiting.

Don't pull it. You are obviously frightening him. It will wiggle out all on it's own. Then, there will be no future fear factor involved. Once a child is afraid of having teeth pulled, they will always be afraid of the dentist as well as their plier weilding parents. Let him wiggle it out with his tongue. You know it will happen real soon. The tooth fairy visits all children who lose a tooth, regardless of how it came out.

Unless the child asks for help. let it be. It will come out. I don't think that any child leave a loose tooth alone for long. It's a learning experience.

You should tell your child that his/her tooth is sad because it wants to go to the tooth fairy like all of the other teeth and then tell your child that the tooth wants to come down and that the tooth is asking your child to please let him down and then your child will try and when he can't he will totally come and ask you.
Good luck!!

I admit to being an "iffy" mom, but I gave my daughter some Brachs caramels, the third one did the trick
My mom gave me a snickers, bloody chocolate covered mountops and waterfalls of caramel turned me off snickers for a few years, but I'm fine now
I've got to say though, let nature take its course and let it fall out on its own

At the dentist's no. At my brothers birthday party my nana ripped my first loose tooth out. it wasn't pretty. So just let it fall out naturally.
