Bible. The Coran (Arabic spelling Qur'an was written sometime in the 7th Century (?)

The Bible was written 400 or so years before Mohommed manufactured the Koran on banana leaves and camel bones (for real). He appealed to the Bible continually as proof that he was a prophet, so he obviously held it in high regard (at first), contrary to most muslims in muslim countries today who ban it. Also, newer revelation must always agree with previous revelation - not vice versa. So if the Koran doesn't agree with the Bible, it should be thrown out. Does it agree with it? Not at all. The Koran doesn't teach the Trinity, salvation by faith alone, the deity of Jesus Christ, that Jesus is the ony way to heaven, the virgin birth, etc, etc. Clearly, the Bible and the Koran are at odds with each other.

the Bible (First Testament). The Koran is a very late entry.

Also check out the History of the Bible - it appears the Christians may not be reading the REAL Bible after all!

Bible came first, but after it got lost in translation, and changed over the years Allah sent Mohammad with the Quran to guide the lost to the right path.

"Is 'King James' Version the Actual Bible?"

Note: The word "Bible" comes from the Koine Greek word "biblios" and it simply means the same as the word "book" in English. Nowhere in the Bible do we find the word "Bible." However, it is interesting to note the word "kitab" (Bible in Arabic) appears many times in the Quran, referring to the Bible and the People of the Book (Jews and Christians).

The King James "version" of the Bible is in English. There was no English language until the year 1066 AD when the Normans invaded the Saxxons. Therefore the English Bible cannot be anything like what any of the prophets spoke or understood, as it did not exist in their times.

We must conclude the "King James Version" is NOT the Actual Bible sent by God to mankind.

the Qur'an, in its original Arabic, to be the literal word of God that was revealed to Muhammad over a period of twenty-three years until his death. Muslims regard it as God's final revelation to humankind and view it as the closest thing to a part of God in the world.[2] Muslims also call the Qur'an the "Final Testament", "The Book", "Book of God" or "The Revelation."

The Qu'ranic revelations were originally memorised by Muslims as Muhammad spoke them, with some being written down on whatever was to hand, from stones to pieces of bark. Compilations of the Qu'ran began under the Caliph Umar, but it was Uthman who decided upon a definitive copy and destroyed all other versions. All of the Muslims use just one Qur'an and there isn't any differences among the sects. The Qu'ran has never changed in substance since. Muslims generally consider it to be the most beautiful book in Arabic.

Why should we go by the Quran not the Bible?
As I wrote before, with the translation and all.

How do we know that the Quran is still the same, and hasn't been changed?
Allah said: "That this is indeed a Qur'an Most Honourable, In a Book well-guarded, Which none shall touch but those who are clean.", sura 56:77-79

The Bible came first. The Koran came way after the Apostle John wrote Revelation -- the last book of the New Testament. If the Koran came first who told Mohammed about Adam , Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ? Mohammed talks about all of them.

bible was compiled as a book at least a couple of hundred years after Christ.

Jesus was reinforcing the message of mosses so old testament and new testament.

about 672AD Mohammad delivered Koran. the last tesament.

it has only one version.letter for letter, and is one of the most translated books.

if being read in sequence they both show similar style and tone at places .

different human contributions towards bible gives out a few versions and generate controversies among different minded people.

single version of Koran makes it difficult(impossible) to make or take contributions, it has been memorized by hundreds of thousand of enthusiastic followers strangely they all match even if from different parts of the world.

and just to clarify falcon muhammed was a complete illitrate never went ot any school, scolar or anyone to be educated. so he could have not read bible. because he could not READ.
