no..that is absolutely ridiculious. The only way to get closer to God is to read His word and fellowship with him. It doesn't matter whether your on top of a mountain or a Coal Miner. Everyone is equal in Gods eyes.

Only if the person on the mountain is Born Again and the person in the coal mine is an atheist.

If they're both believers, there can still be differences in the closeness they have to God, but proximity to the heavens has nothing to do with it.

Are you really serious! I'm a skydiver who jumps out of planes from 13,500ft.! So if you really believe that god lives up in the sky, than I'm closer to him than most people!
P.S. Let me know if you see him, I got a bone to pick with him about this crumby weather we are having which is preventing me from going skydiving!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. supposidly, God is everywhere, so neither the coal miner nor the dude on top of the mountain is closer to him. They are both close to God if they choose to be!
