Why go to church at all? You are not learning anything good. There you learn to call people by titles that only belong to God. Titles like "reverend" and "Holy Father". You learn that Jesus and his Father are equal, although the Bible speaks of Jesus saying at John 14:28: "The Father is greater than I am." You are taught that the soul is immortal, although Ez. 18:4, 20 CLEARLY says that the soul can die. You are taught that all good people go to heaven, although the Bible says that the meek shall inherit the EARTH. You are taught that some wars are acceptable to participate in, although Jesus taught his disciples to love their enemies.
You are better off staying at home than you are going to church and wasting your time learning lies.

NO!
There have been times when I was out in the woods hiking along a trail and came to an opening where I could look out over a beautiful valley and when I realized how wonderful this world is in spite of sin, I got goosebumps all over me and I felt closer to God than I ever had.
Each morning when I wake up, I look out the window and thank God for another day of life and I feel close to Him right then and there.
And by the way, I"m one of those "wierdos" who goes to church on Saturday but that is not really the question you raised.

no you don't that is just a place to worship God. You can just stay closed to God from worshipping him every day praying and reading your bible. Some times you dont feel like to go to church like you are sick or something comes up and you have to be out of town etc but you still can stay closed to God. Just keep this thought on your mind.

absolutly not. I mean It's fantastic to go to church, and it really supports the realashionship between you and God. Church isn't about attendance. It's about getting the right info about God, and growing with him. And personally, I like to attend church on the Sabbath, or Saturday, because that's what the Bible says to do , and that's when God rested from creating the world. but that's what I think is right, and everyone has their beliefs, and that's just what I believe. I hope this helped you, even a little bit.
God bless you :)

Christians don't attend church to get "close to God," although this certainly happens. Scripture tells us that Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, which was made for man; man was not made for the Sabbath. Whether a Christian worships on the Sabbath or on Sunday is not important (they are actually two separate days). What IS important is the encouragement we get from being with a roomful of other Christians.
Peace.

"To stay close to Your God?" - NO. To show respect, for all GOD has given me I go. I see GODs work in every place I go, but being human, I go where a gropup of humans have set up a place of centering my thoughts.
"Do you have to go to Church, every Sunday,?" -- To feel better about being me - YES. I have to be at all masses of obligation, or my self centering is out of balance, and I feel weird. I enjoy the community that is present, and being with family. So I again say - yes I have to go.

How did you come to know your faith? Did your parents pass it down to you and did their parents pass it down to them and so on so forth? Did you ever question your version of your particular belief?
We all generally have a mechanism built inside of us that helps us recognise fraud, or getting swindled. That mechanism has its roots in logic, reason and skepticism. To believe in any version of organized religion, you must shut that part of your brain off. To someone with a healthy ability to sense a rip-off, your question seems absurd. Religion and their dogma are man-made and if you chose to use your valuable time thinking there is some magical entity watching to see if you go to church every Sunday, that's your perogative.
Question your faith in this make believe world you seem to live in. Remember thousands of years ago people believed in sun gods, water gods, Zeus and Medusa and other mythology. We laughed in school pondering how did these people believe in such ridiculous myths. One day, looking back on us, people will say the same regarding our modern day organized religions...Adam & Eve, Noah, Moses, burning bushes and angels etc..

Actually, we should go to church everyday.
The bible says when two, three or more people are gathered together in worship, God will be with them. If that is the case, then there should be no reason why we can't gather in fellowship with one another everyday and not just on sundays.

No you do not have to go every Sunday. I feel close to God wherever I am. Church allows those of faith to come together to share our faith in fellowship. It is good to come together to give thanks, share our experiences, to support one another, and to learn by hearing an experiencing the Word of God.
While Church is beneficial, we spend many more hours away from Church and hopefully feel God's presence during these times as well.
Attend services as often as possible giving thanks for the opportunity to do so. If you can not then give thanks for all you do have,
Peace be with you,
Michael
