Are your children interested in anything specific? Maybe you could use thier interests as a theme, but also incorperate their father's birthday into the celebration.

I understand the difficulty of planning a party when you have two children who share a birthday. (I have twelve-year-old twins) I've solved dillema in a couple different ways.

Some years we had two different parties. This was mostly because the girls had different friends and different interests. (And yes... it was hard on me!)

Other years we had one party which was a compromise between their interests and we invited all of their friends.

If your children don't have specific interests, I'd choose something that all two year olds seem to like. For example, you could have a "jungle" theme and plan games with lions and other wild animals. Dinosaurs is also a very popular theme with that age group. Or you could go with a popular television show.

Let your imagination run wild and have fun!

My daughter just turned 2 in August and we had her party at a facility called "Pump It Up". Its a place where they have those huge inflatable slides and jumping things the kids can do. We had about 20-30 kid ages between 2 to 11 and all the kids had a really good time just jumping around and sliding. The facility had packages that provided the pizza and pop, as well as the paper accessories and did the clean up after the party was done (so you don't have to worry about a thing). Alot of venues have party packages that do the same thing just a different activity for the children. Such as kids gyms, family fun entertainment centers, or local park districts. Just have to do some research.
Hope this helps and good luck!

One of the coolest places they have here in my hometown is a Children's museum. It's a HUGE place for the kids to run around and learn as well. They have a special place they can make HUGE bubbles with, and color and play basically. For her birthday next year we're going to have a birthday party for her there. It wears her out and allows the parents a break too. Not only that, they have special birthday rooms for the kids as well and the birthday boy/girl gets a special crown to wear and special chairs to sit in.

I would check out and see if there's anything like that in your area. All the activities they do there are free and hosting a birthday party there includes their lunch :)

Chuck E Cheese is continually good, a pool party will be interesting. enable them run round or swim all day and by technique of the time they get abode, they'll pass out quick! those are both undemanding activities for a birthday that do not require too a lot artwork on your end. believe me, they received't remember it at this age besides. No experience in stressing about it. desire it is going nicely!

Keep it simple... at 2 they don't need a lot to put a smile on their face. My daughter turned 2 last month. In stead of opening her presents at first... she sat on them. We had to show her. Once one was opened we had to show her there were more.
Honestly 2 year olds.... a 3 inch cake for each chile, a large cake for everyone else. A simple craft of game for older children. Outside time does not hurt them either. Then the presents. A small goody bag for each child. Your all set.

Because my daughter had so much stuff, I recommended people bring their favoirte childhood story book. This helped build our library.

I usually let mine pick a theme from the birthday express catalog even my 2yr and then base everything on that. We usually do a dress up party, pool party, pizza party, treasure hunt party. All those you can do for a 2yr old. Let them pick it out and have fun with it.

You can also have there days b-day the same day nothing wrong with that..

Why not invite the family over for a potluck... bring a dish to pass and your beverage of choice and a sleeping bag for you little one. After the kids get done playing and having their party - turn on the tube pop some corn for them and have your adult party after.

OLD STYLE! INVITE OTHER YOUNG ONES---PARTY HATS---A BIT OF DECORATION--HOT DOGS & CHIPS--& THE SPECIAL BIRTDAY CAKE WITH NEOPOLITAN ICE CREAM-- THE TRADITIONAL BIRTHDAY SONG--MAYBE DO A TODDLER PINATA. WHEN IT'S TIME TO OPEN THE GIFTS, MOST OF THE 2 - 4 YEAR OLDS DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THAT DAY IS NOT THIER SPECIAL DAY! THE KID COMES BEFORE DAD IN THIS SITUATION. TAKE DADDY OUT A DAY OR SO LATER. REMEMBER TO CELABRATE ALL, AS YOU ARE FAMILY & LOVE THAT EACH ONE OF YOU WERE BORN.
