All eggs are high in albumin. An egg is essentially an embryo. The albumin is used for the growth of the embryo. You mentioned that your child has nephrotic syndrome, has it been resolved. Most cases of nephrotic syndrome resolve and the child does not go on to develop chronic nephrotic disease. The acute stage is treated with high doses of corticosteriods. During this period, there is acute renal failure, which is why they can not ingest large amounts of protein. However, once the acute phase has passed, there is no need for dietary restriction of proteins. I am not sure if i answered your question.

All eggs are high in albumin. albumin is another name for protein. For a child with nephrotic syndrome, proteinuria (protein in urine) is common. hence, a special diet that is recommended by the doctor should be put in place.
