I'm on prozac and i have to preten to enjoy sex with my husbend because the pill takes away my feeling for sex. we have been together since i was 16 now i'm 26, 10 years now and our sex life was always great.
I went through depression 2 monthsago for the first time, it was a night mare.
Ever since i stated prozac I have no feelings for sex, i'm scared to tell my husband because i don't want to hurt his feelings.
My body did not like zolof or lexapro. DO u know of one that will be better for me so i can talk to my doctor about it?

the problem your having is because prozac and other anti depressants are SSRI. Selective Serotonin reuptake inhibitors. They level out moods variations. Depression is a LOW swing... sexual urges are an UP swing. loose one, loose em both. ask you Dr. about wellbutrin. Not as 'strong' as prozac but it might work better for you without the side effects...good luck

None of them. I've been thru every antidepressant known to mankind and every one of them has sexual side affects. Neat trick, huh?

wellbutrin can actually improve sexual response!
