Why would it stop them if it don't stop the people from paying such a high price on cigarettes? People still smoke, so they would still drink

it quite is not in all likelihood a binge ingesting tax seeing because it applies to all that drink. i'm no longer particularly troubled seeing as I don' drink plenty besides. It does prepare the idiocy of the government leaders although. Britain needs to take a seem at different international locations and locate the course motives of england's issues rather than merely inventing insane new rules which will haven't any effect in any appreciate. training is the priority no longer pricing and as quickly through fact the government applies greater ideal adolescents courses and family individuals values the priority will quit. Years in the past we did no longer have the priority and is wasn't through intense alcohol expenses.

They are putting high taxes on Alcopops to stop school kids drinking the stuff. The goverment thinks if they make the drink to expensive kids won't drink as much, which is bull, they'll just go back to drinking Kestral Super or White Lightning or some other crap.

Yes, to the second thing. I think it's unfair as i like drinking alcopops and I'm 26. I don't binge drink either, I just prefer the taste. Why should I have to pay for stupid kids mistakes?

no just more tax. Politicians don't drink alcopops they like whiskey and beer and wine so that tends to go down a bit in price.

It will mean that the pubs will do even more happy hours and alcopops will be drunk just as much.

Who is bingedrinking on alcopops anyway? When i was a teenager it was cheep cider and special brew! What's worse?

Has anyone else wondered why the government (any government, not just the current twats) continue to allow the legal sale of alcohol/cigarettes when everybody knows that it kills more people than any other ailment?

Just frustrating to know that they'd rather have the money from all the taxes then put a stop to it altogether!

So it is just money-grabbing bureaucrats!

I think you're far nearer the mark with your second guess mate, taxing alcopops is just like massive tax on petrol - just another way to fleece the population of vast amounts of money on the basis of 'its for your own good'

The sooner we get rid of Bliar the better.

hell no. That is so stupid.

In New York a pack of cigerettes is $8.00-$10.00 because of all the taxes. And the rest of the country cigs are still $4-$7. People still smoke. That is such a dumb idea.

Its just the govt. tricking people to get more tax revenue. If they want more money in their pockets just say it. They dont have to try to trick anybody.
