she says its not a cold. She has a big lump in her throat and she cant swallow!!

allergies perhaps? I had a similar feeling a few months ago and went to the doctor and she prescribed some allergy medicine and the lump in my throat went away. call the doctor and see what they say. good luck, hope izzy feels better!

Dont be silly she had swollen glands and a cold,go to your gp your gp will prescribe her with anti-biotics to get her gland down,then go to your chemist and get cold relief capsules,cough mixture and throaties.Good Luck

sounds like a septic throat, altough this will be sore try eatiing dry thoast, it clears the rougagh in the throat and seek medical advice, will probably need anti-inflammitarys

I have had the same thing this week - it is some kind of cold virus. There are so many different strains of cold, the symptoms can vary from one cold to another!

by glands if u mean limf notes under the ears she has an infection.... she could possibly have strep throat get 2 a doc IMMEDIANTLY

nah, shes just got the 'change of season' bug. she'll be fine with some bedrest and paracetamol. hot water with lemon and honey does WONDERS and is not just an old wives tale.

calm down phone up an emergency line or if your that worried tack her to the closet hospital and go to the emergency department.
