most pineapple will come with a tag with instructions on how to properly cut a pineapple, but if its missing... try this, first cut off the bottom, then the top, slice from top to bottom cutting off the skin. you may have some brown holes left over from the skin. then slice around the core. the core has fibers that look different from the rest of the fruit. its a little bitter and very tough. chew on it and throw it away, its sweet but not fully edible. good luck

I cut off the top and bottom first so its a cylinder, then you stand it up and cut the skin off in downward strips cutting really close to the skin and go the whole way around. Then you can slice the fruit anyway you like.

I have only had pineapple for bbq'ing. I cut both ends off, then slice it1-1 1/2 inches thick. you can take a pairing knife to cut core out leaving a ring. I leave the skin on (((((optional))))))

cut off the top first. then the end. stand it up and start top to bottom cutting off skin. the middle of the pineapple is too tough to eat. slice off , all the way around leaving out the middle. cut into chunks and enjoy.
