Why does marijuana get me paranoid?

Sativas tend to induce more paranoia than indicas, and a too early harvest can increase the paranoia level, too. Set and setting have quite a bit to do with it as well. Learn more about what strain you're smoking, and use a small microscope ($10 Radio Shack) to take a look at the trichomes (the little balls on stalks or "crystals"). Mostly clear is too young and the high will be edgy and paranoid, mostly cloudy is getting better and ok in an indica, mostly cloudy with 20-30% amber is about perfect, mostly or all amber is overripe and will be more of a heavy "couchlock" stone.

I'm guessing because you have that general mind-set when you begin. Or someone/something sets you in that direction after you're stoned & you stay in that negative emotion. Try watching some comedy, a movie, toons, stand-up, whatever. Conciously turn your thoughts to something more pleasant & reassuring. Make up your mind to have FUN. and ENJOY Pot's probably the least addictive mood enhancer around--even coffee is more addictive than grass--just try quitting caffiene cold turkey and feel the screaming head-ache (addive withdrawal)

you are not paranoid, the cops are really after you, they are just waiting until you are really stoned and then they are going to sneak up on you and rush in yelling and screaming to freak you out. They are watching you right now, look out the window do you see that light flash? that is them. dont smoke pot, it makes you ask stupid questions.

Marijuana SHOULD make you paranoid!!! It can be a very dangerous drug, and is extremely addictive and terrible for your body. Therefore, think of your paranoia not as a fear, but as a gift. :)
