Another media storage device i use is called Roadstar which is a portable dvd burner with media slots to download your pics from your memory cards and stort out the pics later with the dvds you have created,,It is powered by a rechargeable battery pack. Also a Ipod is a excellent way to carry samples of your photos which has a high memory capacity, and while staying in a hotel on a photo shoot Roadstar can be use through a tv to veiw pics or watch a good dvd movie :)

It's not the brand, it's just:

1) making sure it is brand name
2) it is fast enough (i.e. 50x, 80x, etc.)
3) it is durable

I'm usually fine with just a memory card, but if I need a viewer/need to offload it, I can get a $30 connector for my 40G iPod and that will store and show the pics.

I can't tell you which is most popular but I use a Smartdisk Flastrax and have been very happy with it. Very reliable, easy to use, and sturdy. Has a rechargeable battery and cord.
