When people say that God gave you the choice to belive in him or not (going to heaven or hell) when it's told that he knew your whole life before you were ever born. To me that sounds like he picks and chooses himself where people go and what type of life they will have. Not the other way around

Just because I know the result of your choice doesn't mean it is not your choice to make. God is no different.

It isn't an issue of control, it is an issue of perception. God is not hindered by the concept of time, thus, he knows all of history before it becomes history. However, saying that because God already knows what is going to happen he controls out fate is like saying that because we KNOW how the Revolutionary War ended today doesn't mean that it was not entirely possible for it to have ended differently. The past is not controled by knowledge of it in the present, just as your choiced in life are not controlled by God's knowledge of them outside the limitations of time.

Religion sometimes creates stories and beliefs that centuries later prove to be false. That's why we can now site many mistakes in the Bible (the word of God). For instance, "Noah & the Arc". This story held up for a long time but we now know that 2 of every species of living things weighs over 50 million tons. Noah would have needed an Arc a mile long. When ancient man created God he didn't have the intellect to do it right and now there's no going back so religion makes up excuses to compensate.

You do have free choice. The belief that god knows all that you will do in your life is wrong. God would have a good Idea of what you are going to do because.

God is always with you and knows the History of all your choices and Knows how you currently feel.

God has a history on everybody to base an opinion on.

Knowing what you will do and making you do it are two different things. The Lord is just but merciful not wanting any to perish but all to come to Him and receive salvation. If you don't want it, ok no one will force it on you. If you care for an opinion I believe God created people that would hate Him to show His love more deeply to those He knew would love Him... Jim

I don't believe that God knows everything that will ever happen, or everything that everybody will ever do. I don't think the Bible really says that He does. He knows the end from the beginning, but I'm tending to believe that is more of a general statement referring to the ultimate fate and destiny of man, and of the earth.

I believe in GOD. There is no way anyone can tell you with certainty, they know what GOD is thinking. we don't know if we are control of our destiny or not.Too many people of faith will tell you things that they could not possibly know unless they spoke to GOD himself.I just behave like I am the one who has to act like I want to go to heaven. Better safe than sorry!GOD bless

God knows the choices we will make. We cannot understand that because we live in the dimension of limited knowledge. God lives outside that dimension.

It's a fair point, but just because he knows doesn't mean he influences your choices - the decision is still yours, but you're right: it does seem like we're all just going through the motions.

Being able to see someone's future doesn't mean creating it for one.

Psychics and mediums are able to see what will happen in your future (or what happened in your past), but they don't choose the way you live your life. You are the one who does that.
