I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. Its time I need to buy a new car but I do not like anything that I see becase all the new cars seem to have a space age look to them. I like the look and feel of my current car (Mitsubishi Eclipse) But I draw blanks when it comes to what new car to buy. I plan to spend aprox: $35,000

If you don't like the new "space age" look, then you'll have to go american. The dodge charger R/T is a great choice for that money with very good retro styling.
BUT, 35k is a good amount of money, and your pretty close to the brand new BMW 335i, which is far better than anything else in that price range. Whether you like the looks or not, it's still the best car for the money, without question.

You need to give more info? another 2 door like your eclipse? Would you be open to a SUV? There are over 120 choices of vehicles in you price range or lower. Try www.edmunds.com, it will show you photo's and pricing of every vehicle availble to you? Good Luck.

Get a WRX the around 25 to 30. it sporty like your GT more room im sure AWD is great

Upgrade the one you have...
With 35K you're in a position to have it your way!
New engine, body work, paint, new seats, steering wheel, carpet, etc...
I think it would be fun and you would still have the body style you like.

Then get a Used M3 or M5...ITS WAY FASTER THAN THE ECLIPSE AND CHEAPER TOO
