If you have some good friends that you could talk about your problems, you should do that or maybe go out some time and try to approach some body and start a conversation and just be your self it will help your self and your self esteem, or you can even chat with someone if you got a computer.

You dont say how old you are ? It may just be a matter of living / experiencing life a little longer. Have a new hairstyle, a few new clothes and walk straight and upright and feel good about yourself..............Then enrol in a course on assertiveness and see how its done. Marvellous fun and you'll meet like minded people, of whom some will probably become good friends of yours. Try to have a goal of achieving something you always wanted to do:- a holiday, a museum visit, a train journey maybe a certificated course . ......anything you can be proud of.
Good Luck with your new found skill.

I'm so shy! The best way I have found is to listen to my drama teacher, who said forget your mistakes and think only about what you have to do. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and forget that there is anyone at all watching you (if you have an audience). Pour your heart into whatever you do, and then DO IT! It will take practice and a strong will, but if you are determined, you can do it. Good luck, and be strong.

I don't know how old you are, but you could join Amateur Operatic Dramatics or you could do a Performing Arts Course at College. My daughter did this and it gave her a lot of confidence. They have a singing tutor to help you with your voice.
Also Kareoke nights. Have fun and sing your heart out. I loved it.

Practice. Seriously, the more you do something, the easier it gets. Eventually, it becomes second nature. Try doing something new but simple every day for 2 weeks, then stop. You'll see that you've got used to doing it.

Practise at home in the bathroom then try singing at karaoke, no-one is brilliant there, so it's a laugh for everyone, good or bad! Just remember, no-one is looking particularly for you to fail, so you CAN do it!!
