they believe in potential, which is weird as they want to kill all gay and lesbian people too. It is all stupid. What I always ask them is, do you feel bad if you kill and ant? If no, then why feel bad for a speck?

Religion aside, lets sit and ponder the ethics of the situation.
You refer to the fertilized egg as a small cluster of cells without awareness. So, since it isn't actually a person yet, it's then allright to do whatever we feel like to it. in effect, you've declared it a Non-person. (have you ever read 1984?) a Vapour.
Ponder this, without intervention, this group of cells would develope into a person, thinking, feeling, observing. So, in effect, it's not JUST a group of cells, but a seed.
A seed has inside of it all the potential of the plant it will become, while a seed it isn't that plant, yet, much like a sculpter seeing the potential in a block of marble for a statue, the seed has inside it the potential for what it will become. When I hold that seed, I hold an infinite amount of possibility, and even more so for the seed which can become a person.
When you snuff out that seed, all that infinite potential is lost, all that could have been becomes just another culture in the lab. What a wonderful ability we have to dehumanize something. ere, we have everything that makes up a human being, all that it lacks is time, but if we remove ime from this picture, what could have been a laughing, breathing life, has just become fodder for scientific experimentation.
Why not read the writings of the Nazi scientists at the concentration camps? Everyone of their arguements for the "ethics" and scientific rationale of their horrorshow will sound disturbingly familiar. The jews and others were declared "Vapours", or "Non-people", and since they weren't human, it now became acceptable to perform any experiment desired.
Why should we doubt, after all, they were all honorable men.
Eris, save us from honorable men!

I'm assuming you're talking about the abortion issue...it's a little complex than that don't you think? Reducing a fetus to "a small cluster of cells the size of a pin head " is not only incorrect but also confirm the belief that pro-choicers are completly heartless.
I'm pro-choice but I understand that where and where life begins is subject to interpretation. But what you just said sounds horrible.

humorous comparisons. not the terrific way..... the only real for Christians is to stay with Him and his coaching and demands. He under no circumstances promessed the paradise in the worldwide and all fulfillment and hapiness, when you consider that He got here for the sinneers, the destructive, the non useful people. To be christian it s a decision. you are able to pick to not be and have a solid existence additionally. And confident God supplies us peace and exhilaration and His easy handbook us. yet He additionally supplies us some regulations and rules as we've in the worldwide, to guard us

i pretty much agree with you on this issue, but last night i saw so many questions and arguments about abortion that i did some research.. now i dont know how credible these sites were but the pictures that i saw put that horrible knot in my stomache and actually made me cry for a good 10 minutes...either way..i still believe that its a womans choice to do what she thinks is right for her....so the rest really doesnt matter....but its a hard thing to sway people on so id give it a rest if i were you, you dont know why these people think this way and as long as they arent standing outside of clinics sreaming, then let it go....thats my suggestion =0)

Actually its you that does not see.
A fertilized egg is already a unique person genetically. All the traits of the person to be has already been cemented and it only has to grow to become a person just like you and me.
You were once that little you know. I am sure you are glad no mad scientist did experiments on your cells.
Its called respect for life man. Grow a heart.

Because ending a human life at any stage of developement is still ending a human life. Human life is valuable and ending it just because you don't want to be inconvenienced by the consequences of you're on irresponsibility is not a valid reason to end it.

A human life is sacred to MOST people. Most people would not if given the chance, kill a fetus. And it is really amusing to me, that your brain is the same size as that small cluster of cells.

Say Yes to Jesus! I have an IQ of 181 (not to brag) and have found that a systematic universe with a natural control is much more logical than randomized atheism.
Peace and love be with ye!
