some of my favorite classic books are: The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde; its short and its a satire, I thought it was funny Another Satire Candide by Voltaire its also funny girly books: anything by the Bronte sisters (Charlotte, Anne, or Emily Bronte), or Jane Austen they're really beautifully written For adventure anything by Alexandre Dumas He wrote the 3 musketeers, the man and the iron mask, and the count of monte Cristo - one of my favorites but its 1200 pages long. 20,000 leagues under the sea Jules Verne (anything by him is really good) mystery: Sir Arthur Conon Doyle he wrote Sherlock Holmes Edgar Allen Poe also has some well-written books but they're written in the gothic style and morbid another favorite: The Once and Future King by TH White or the Jungle books by rudyard kipling Charles Dickens can be really good, but I sometimes find him to be dull.
