So sense I encounted these sorry excuses for Americans protesting at one of my unit members funerals....I began to research them...They believe god is punishing my fellow brothers in arms because gender and sex issues....How can we stop them from from protesting at funerals...we had to surround his mother all in uniform and escort her to the car.....she was a single mom that raised J by herself she didnt need to have her only sons funeral broken into like that .....Any ideas on hoqw we can stop this?....Cause I want my family to have closure at mine ....if the day ever comes

Several states have passed laws prohibiting protests at funerals in reaction to these people. After they showed up at our monthly division memorial service for the first time, our state was one of them. Things were so tense that they had National Guard and state troopers at the sight of the protest, and they closed the main gate (they were standing right across the street from the main post entrance). It was bad, but fortunately I've heard that at a lot of the places they go 10 times as many people show up supporting the families. I tried emailing them, but they are just nuts. They quoted the Bible out of context and told me to enjoy my time in he**. Write to your state legislature to try to get a law passed against funeral protests, or at least limiting how close they can get to the actual ceremony (many states make them stay 400 meters away). They have come here to our post twice, the second time they were largely ignored and I think that helped some. They are in it to get a rise out of people, and when that stops happening, they'll give up. It's almost impossible to ignore though when they are personally attacking your friends. I don't know what I would do if they showed up at my husband's or one of our friends' funerals.....

I don't know how to stop it either, I have done research on these freaks as well, they not only protest at our boys funerals they were going to protest at the little Amish girls funerals for some bizarre reason. This sorry excuse for a church is nothing more than a cult hiding behind God and Christianity while forgetting that the basic premise of true Christians is forgiveness, peace and love. Unfortunately, because we live in a wonderful country where everybody has freedom we have to put up with this bull#$&t. It's just awful that they have chosen to harass and persecute the very people that are fighting for their freedom to be jerks though. Bless and thank you and your brothers and sisters in arms for defending freedom and liberty. Now if only we could get some justice for these people....?

How about kidnapping them. For real. If I had the resources I would let them know that if they showed up to another military funeral they would dissapear and never be seen again. It would only take a funeral or two worth of kidnappings before the rest of them started to have second thoughts. Just think about it, their church van, driving all the way from Westburo, Colorado to some other far away state. Oh the possibilities.

I do and would volunteer to do it. I cannot discuss it here but lets see if God is punishing them? The cops I know all said they did not see a thing! Pass the word see if there is a Virginia funeral.

i don't think there's anything you can do...Isn't the right to protest covered in the US Constitution? (I'm Canadian, so I'm not sure). I've heard these people on the radio though....There is no reasoning with these people. I think they believe that 9-11 was Gods punishment to America because there are Gays in the US....

There is a huge biker group that usually follows these protesters and blocks our these sick bastards. I am drawing a blank on their name but I know that you can search it. I have looked at this churches websit "Godhatesfags" they are sick!!!!! I think what these bikers do is absolutly great.
