Someone was asking a question about god and hell. Unfortunately I can’t find the question but one of our Pagan (brothers or sisters) wrote something that was truly inspired in my opinion. It went something like this;

“If the Christian god does exist he is abominably evil. To torture beings for all eternity just because they don’t agree with his (god’s) theology is atrocious. If such a being does rule this universe it is only a matter of time before some bigger badder being comes along and just kicks his butt and throws him into his own hell for a few million years. Who knows it might even end up being me.”

I could have just cheered! What an empowering statement.

I would like to shake the hand of the person who originally wrote this.

This I agree with. It reminds me a lot of the Atheists Wager: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheist%27s_Wager

I'm not religious, but I always thought if there is a God, then he'd be understanding, and not perhaps like an (immature) ordinary person would be, saying "Well you didn't beleive in me, so you'll pay"

So yeah, I agree with that to an extent. XD

Sounds like this person has a personal vendetta against God...or against some religious fanatic that did him wrong.

Some of the things I've read in this forum seem to support this statement.
